When we built our new home on Thesen Island, one of the most critical decisions to be made was, as to who we would award the building tender. At that time the building boom in Knysna had begun. New contractors were springing up everywhere, existing ones were taking on more work than their resources could cope with. These factors led to a drop in quality standards and a rise in building prices.
After careful consideration we awarded the building of our home to Tusker. Building a new home at that time was mostly a frustrating and stressful experience, due to the shortages of skills materials, and service delivery. All I can say is that building our home proved to be wonderful experience. The professionalism, shown by the Tusker team was admirable. Weekly site meetings, structured planning, and meticulous attention to detail were the order of the day.
Almost 6 years have passed, since the house was built, and it is still in first class condition. During the course of the past 6 years, we have on occasion called Tuskers to attend to some minor items. In each instance they arrived promptly, and although entitled to charge, chose not to. When we queried why no charges had been levied, they declared that they stand by the work they have done.
I have no hesitation in recommending Brett, Johan and their team to anyone who is building and I am quite happy for any prospective clients to call me for a personal reference.
